I was out driving one day and there was a weather front coming in. The resulting cloud line was visible everywhere. I made a turn and there was this beautiful old building sitting under it. I just had to paint it. A smaller version of this painting is in the collection of MBNA America.
The scene is located just off Rte One in Newcastle, Maine.
